Avantgarde Gallery specializes in  contemporary Russian art, including works from the  former Soviet republics and from the worldwide Russian diaspora. The gallery presents established and emerging masters. The main criteria for Avantgarde's choice of paintings, graphics and sculptures are professional excellence and artistic freedom. Most artists are  connected with the Russian Academy of Fine Arts.  

Avantgarde Gallery is located in St. John's Wood, on the well known Boundary Road, home of the original Saatchi Gallery.

Though quieter in post-Saatchi times, Boundary Road has yet again emerged  as a "gallery island", housing, besides Avantgarde,  Ben Uri Jewish Museum of Art and Boundary Gallery.
